Extensiones corporales
2015
“Body Extensions” is a fusion of soft sculptures, three-dimensional paintings, and costumes. As the name suggests, they were designed as extensions—dilations—for the bodies of the dancers in the performance “Geographies of Oblivion,” integrating and modifying their movements, and offering stimuli based on the symbolic relationships of forms, weights, and textures.
“Geographies of Oblivion” is a contemporary dance performance that draws a parallel between heritage buildings, decay, and human aging. It employs a language of movement and a decadent aesthetic that emphasizes the beauty of old age.
