Taxidermy of the forbidden
Taxidermy of the Forbidden, also known as artificial biology, is a game, an operation, and a ceremony from which I never stop learning. I call "games" those universes into which I immerse myself as part of an experiment that has its own conditions and variables to observe its effects. This process involves a deep and structured commitment, similar to participating in a ceremony.
Taxidermy is defined as the art of dissecting animals to preserve their lifelike appearance over time, for the purpose of facilitating their exhibition, study, and conservation. In this universe, it involves creating combinations and forms of corporealities that are forbidden, rebellious, absurd, or insolent, outside the dimensions of this game and in biological and logical terms. Here, botanical, animal, human, and objectual features intertwine.
Taxidermy of the Forbidden poses more questions than answers; it is a provocation to the unconscious, to our projections through the combination of these physiognomies that expand between the living and the dead, between the known and the unknown, between what attracts and what repels.
